Why you should submit your own giveaway

Are you hosting a giveaway? Submit it yourself!

Posting your giveaway here is a way to refer people to your blog. Now of course you don’t want people to love you only for your giveaways. But remember, each new person who visits your blog is a potential new reader, subscriber, friend.

The giveaway may be the amuse-bouche, but if your blog is delicious they’ll stay for the whole meal.

Chances are I’ll find and post your giveaway sooner or later, but it’s better for both of us if you’re proactive. Here’s what’s in it for you:

  • your giveaway will probably be posted sooner than if you wait for me to discover it (but please note that I do moderate submissions)
  • you can keep any of your own affiliate links embedded in your giveaway description text
  • you can post a photo to draw more attention to your giveaway
  • your giveaway is listed in bold type in the sidebar list of new listings and current giveaways, giving it greater prominence
  • I may host a giveaway or two of my own at some point, with submitters receiving additional chances to win

If any of that appeals to you, be sure to submit your giveaway right after you post it on your blog.
